JOHANNESBURG – South African rapper and celebrity, Rikhado ‘Riky Rik’ Makhado’s wild stage performances, sincerity and fashion sense made him one of the most followed celebrities in the country.
A year after his passing, his latest track Stronger dropped on all streaming platforms.
The song was created by Riky Rick’s long collaborators Ganja Beatz, Audio Militia and Lebo Machudi, using AI and Riky Rick’s own words from his social media posts.
To honour his legacy of positivity, the newly formed Riky Rick Foundation is behind the release of the track.
Riky Rick passed away on 23 February 2022.
Rick was known for his love of the Gucci brand which earned him exclusive invites to fashion shows in Milan. The song title Stronger was inspired by Riky Rick’s last tweet before he passed.
The tweet read: “I’ll return a stronger man”.
