Linkedin: Why LinkedIn is deleting account of youngest SpaceX engineer – Times of India
Quazi said that LinkedIn sent him a notice saying they are deleting his account because he is not 16.LinkedIn’s user agreement notes that all members must have a minimum age requirement of 16 years to meet the criteria to make an account on the platform.
“This is the illogical, primitive nonsense that I face constantly. I can be qualified enough to land one of the most coveted engineering jobs in the world but…” he said in a tweet.LinkedIn also said that Quazi will be welcomed on the platform when he turns 16 or older and that the platform has cancelled his Premium subscription and issued a refund for any charges incurred.
Who is Kairan Quazi?
Quazi quickly became famous after he reportedly posted on his social media handles that he has joined SpaceX. In a post, he thanked the space company for being “one of the rare companies that did not use [his] age as an arbitrary and outdated proxy for maturity and ability.”
“Next stop… SpaceX!!!. I accepted a position as Software Engineer at one of the coolest companies on the planet!” he wrote. A software engineer, Quazi graduated from Santa Clara University eight years early.
He also included screenshots of the email he received officially offering him the position, reports said.
SpaceX Starship rocket launch
Meanwhile, Musk has said that SpaceX will attempt to launch its Starship rocket within the next six to eight weeks. It is to be noted that this will be the second time for SpaceX to attempt an orbital launch of the Starship system.
In April this year, Starship exploded four minutes after liftoff. It is said to be the world’s most powerful rocket which is designed to take people to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
