Schengen visa: 10 countries with lowest rejection rate in summer 2023

When planning a last-minute trip to Europe, it’s essential to consider Schengen visa requirements and potential delays. While the application process may pose challenges, there is still time to apply. Recent data from 2022 reveals the countries with the lowest rejection rates for Schengen visas.

Topping the list is Italy, followed closely by Greece, Switzerland, Poland, Luxembourg, Finland, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Iceland. Conversely, countries with higher rejection rates include Malta, Sweden, Belgium, and France. France, in particular, recorded the highest number of rejected visas, with over 400,000 applications denied.

It’s worth noting that visa shopping, applying for a visa from one country with the intent of visiting another, is discouraged and condemned by Schengen countries. To ensure a smooth and ethical travel experience, it’s advisable to plan your trip to a specific Schengen country and apply for the visa accordingly.
