‘Liger’ Hindi box office collection week 1: Vijay Deverakonda’s actioner gets knocked out with just Rs 18 crore – Times of India
ETimes had exclusively revealed that director Puri Jagannadh will compensate the distributors who have suffered losses due to the failure of this Vijay Deverakonda-Anaya Panday starrer. Warangal Srinu, a distributor from the South, had confirmed to ETimes tht the filmmaker will travel to Hyderabad soon and will personally look into the compensation process.
With ‘Liger’, Vijay Deverakonda marked his entry in Bollywood. Speaking about the same, he had told PTI, “Initially, I felt I was not ready (for Bollywood), like immediately after ‘Arjun Reddy’. I didn’t feel I was ready to do a national cinema. I needed my own journey to get to this point and take on the responsibility of national cinema. ‘Liger’ was the first film I was ready as a person, actor and as a script it felt perfectly right to take it to India.”
