‘Let us go for a run and see who is tired’: Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s challenge to PM Modi
“A Congress leader is seeking votes in the name of their retirement. His biggest poll plank is: ‘This is my last election. Give me a chance. What a pathetic state they have reached!” PM Modi said in an election rally.
Karnataka goes to the polls on on May 10 and the counting of votes is scheduled on May 13. Siddaramaiah in his tweet also shared a video of he and and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi running during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
“Let us, you & me, go for a run & see who is tired. I will serve my people till my last breath,” Siddaramaiah said in his tweet.
Did you, Mr @narendramodi, remove @BSYBJP as CM because he was tired? And then you begged him to campaign for you in the elections.

As Karnataka polls inch closer, the BJP and the Congress campaigns are getting nastier. The ruling BJP is pulling out all stops to return to power in this year’s state election. The Prime Minister has hit the ground to campaign for the BJP in the last leg of the campaigning, in which he is conducting a number of poll rallies and roadshows.
The ruling BJP has come down heavily on the Congress over remarks made by Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge surprised everyone with his remarks of comparing PM Modi to a poisonous snake though he withdrew his statement. Siddaramaiah during a recent campaign stated that Lingayat chief ministers indulged in corruption and destroyed the state. Though Siddaramaiah clarified that his statement was meant only for current Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, a controversy was stirred.
