Let the troll brigade simmer over your ‘Brahmastra’ Junoon, Mouni Roy; you do you! – Times of India

The ‘Brahmastra’ trailer took over the internet today and left everyone talking about the cinematic brilliance that Ayan Mukerji’s film is, the kind that has not been witnessed in Hindi films before. While we speak of Brahmastra and the sheer brilliance of VFX in part 1 of the trilogy, the troll brigade is at it again. Among many other bones to pick about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s film, haters could not digest Mouni Roy’s look in the avatar of her dark character Junoon. So much so that they got down to trolling the actress brutally, simply for her look in the film.

Whether or not she did a facial surgery, or whether she did it for this role or otherwise, it’s no one else’s place to comment on her personal choices. Every individual has a right over their own body, so rather than channeling your attention towards Mouni’s facial features, put some thought into how hard she works on her fitness and take an inspiration or two, maybe.

Well, ever heard imitation is the best form of flattery? Even if your comment held any value, Elizabeth Olsen (the OG Scarlet Witch) would be flattered. And before passing an easy remark on a character that has been envisioned, researched and developed by an ambitious filmmaker for years, and brought to life on the screen by a talented and revered actress, why don’t you put your thoughts together and try and create a better version, if you can?

Way to go, at a time when women should support and uplift women! Irrespective of how she looks with or without makeup, fact is, she did the work and she landed the role. She is making the right noises and climbing the ladder of success in showbiz. Besides, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Get the drift?
