Latest Windows 11 preview shows off upcoming new features: Details – Times of India

Microsoft is reportedly gearing up for the Moment 3 update for Windows 11. The operating system is likely to receive a slew of new features and changes as a part of the upcoming update. While there’s still time before the update rolls out officially, Windows 11 preview builds have already revealed some of the upcoming Windows 11 features.
The most recent update suggests that Microsoft is planning to bring back some missing taskbar features that Windows users are accustomed to for a long time. Recently, the company added the drag and drop feature, right-click option to open Task Manager quickly and more.
Windows Latest has reported that Microsoft is planning to add labels/window titles in the taskbar. The option to enable “show labels” has already started appearing in the Windows Settings in a recently released beta preview version of the operating system. Several users have reported that the taskbar label is appearing for some users and according to the screenshots posted, the show labels feature allows users to see window titles alongside the app icons in the taskbar.
Windows taskbar labels to help users identify apps easily
While the new taskbar labels will consume a lot of space on the taskbar, it will certainly make it easier for users to identify an app or application pinned on the taskbar. Also, it will have a bigger clickable area which will come in handy for touchscreen devices as well as normal keyboard mouse setup.
In addition to the taskbar labels, the latest preview build also includes the option to hide data and time from the taskbar for a clutter-free appearance.
As mentioned earlier, Windows 11 is expected to receive the Moment 3 update with a host of new features. The update is expected to arrive later this year and it will carry the version 23H2.
