Lana Del Rey Included a Surprise Cameo at Her London Gig—From Her Hairstylist

After memorably showing up late for her Glastonbury set due to alleged complications with her hair (“My hair takes so long to do,” she told disgruntled crowds), when it came to headlining the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, Lana Del Rey was always going to bring the house down. She even incorporated the act of getting ready masterfully into her performance.

Kicking off her set with her hair piled into a ’60s-inspired updo finished off with the perfect princess tiara—a handcrafted headpiece made from two interlacing embellished strands, adorned with decorative diamanté spiders, beetles, and dragonflies—the “Video Games” singer then invited hairstylist Anna Cofone onto the stage as she sat at a vanity to brush out her mermaid waves for her next performance. The result was a beautiful piece of theatre, one that added to the overall romance of the evening. To finish the look, make-up artist Pammy Cochrane created the ultimate feline flick, some XXL lashes, and a soft nude lip.

While Lana was certainly giving main character energy, there’s nothing to stop you from taking some style notes as we head into wedding season. In fact, nothing says wedding guest more than a princess tiara and mermaid waves—just try not to be late for the ceremony.
