“Whatever I wear, I will be serving painful Italian glamour from within,” says British Vogue’s December 2021 cover star Lady Gaga in the new issue. This all-out fabulous mantra helped shape her latest House of Gucci screening look.
Gaga arrived at the London showcase wearing a slinky chocolate-brown dress from Et Ochs, accessorized with Alighieri jewelry. The platform enthusiast stood tall in über-high heels from London-based party shoe specialist D’Accori – a designer that she skyrocketed to fame several years ago.
Next, she seemingly channelled her on-screen alter-ego Patrizia Reggiani. Gaga embodied the Gucci matriarch in a dazzling cape embellished with double-G motifs–look 27 from Alessandro Michele’s fall 2021 collection–styled with yet another pair of towering platforms, this time from Pleaser. The accessories added to her impossibly glamorous appeal: she carried a metallic Gucci Zumi bag and delivered ultimate sass in Victoria Beckham aviators.
The Old Hollywood mood clearly inspired her beauty choices, too. Her platinum blonde locks were styled in side-swept, perfect waves, while her eyes were brushed with smoky shadow and eyeliner, and her nude lips were dramatically lined.
For her first House of Gucci red-carpet appearance, Gaga wore a striking purple gown with expressive sleeves, straight off Gucci’s spring 2022 Love Parade catwalk. The devil was in the detail: she served rocker edge in fishnets and stacked mixed-metal Tiffany jewels. The finishing touch? Mega Pleaser heels, of course.
