Kylie Minogue Went From Playing Sydney WorldPride to Attending Miu Miu’s Show

She also loved the unexpected beauty moments in the show, like the deliberately windswept hair. “I have to mention the Guido Palau hair: I hear balloons were involved to achieve the static,” Minogue says. “It gave the looks a ‘last minute dash to the shops,’ ‘coolest school run,’ or ‘straight to work from a night out’ vibe.”

As for Minogue’s very own show day ensemble, the star says she wanted to go for a more timeless, elegant vibe (very Parisian of her). “I chose a black velvet shift dress with spaghetti straps and button details,” says Minogue. “I also chose a soft A-line jacket in the same velvet, with the addition of a gorgeous lace collar. It felt effortless to wear, and was a refreshing silhouette for me.” An added bonus—the dress had pockets! “I’m always, always happy with pockets on a dress,” says Minogue. “Also, the coat had a beautiful movement and softness to it.”

Minogue then ended her day at Paris Fashion Week by having an intimate dinner with designer Miuccia Prada at Gigi, which hosts a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. “It was my first time meeting her and I was able to tell her, as a long time fan, how much I admire her,” says Minogue. Post-Paris, meanwhile, Minogue is now back in full-on music mode: She’s crafting up more dance hits for us soon. “I’m in the midst of wrapping up my album and will move on to the visual side of the campaign soon,” says Minogue. “It’s hugely exciting to be on the verge of a new era, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
