Kuttey song Tere Saath: Radhika Madan and Shardul Bhardwaj reignite the pain and loss of not marrying someone you love – Times of India
The song, which has been composed and sung by filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj along with Kiran and Nivi, gives a glimpse of an intense feeling of Radhika and Shardul’s characters who are separating despite being madly in love with each other.
Radhika, who plays a fierce role of a gun-blazing woman, is seen meeting Shardul’s character for the one last time before her engagement. They are seen reliving their romantic moments and making long-lasting memories by consummating their love while going through a painful separation.
Kuttey marks the directorial debut of Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Aasmaan Bhardwaj. For the uninitiated, Radhika made her debut in Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial Pataakha in 2018. After getting impressed by her acting abilities, the director approached Radhika for Kuttey.
Speaking about working with Aasmaan again, Radhika said that she has known Aasmaan since Pataakha as he was assisting Vishal on the film. She revealed that Aasmaan was studying at that time and writing a script, which she didn’t know that it was Kuttey. She also said that she considers Vishal Bhardwaj as a family.
The actress also said that she takes Vishal’s blessings before working on any film and credits him for teaching her the importance of chasing truth and honesty in her performances. “He doesn’t tell me what to do and what not to do. He wants me to make my own career fall, rise and learn from my mistakes,” she told a news agency.
Apart from Radhika and Shardul, Kuttey also stars a slew of performers like Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Konkona Sen Sharma along with Kumud Mishra and Arjun Kapoor. The movie will release in theatres on January 13.
