However, the 39-year old was able to produce another bit of magic as he got the ball to shape away ever so slightly and got Kohli to play the ball, straight into the hands of Buttler – giving his third catch of the match and Anderson his thrid wicket.

It has been now 50 innings for Kohli now without an international century but the skipper’s problems outside the off-stump that were the reason of his undoing in 2014 have come to haunt him again as he has scored just 69 runs in the four innings.

India were in big trouble at 21/3 before Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane joined forces to help rescue the downfall of wickets.

The users on Twitter weren’t happy with Kohli’s form and also suggested that the top-order’s problems against the swinging ball weren’t going to end anytime soon while some users suggested that the familiar feeling of India’s wickets in quick succession were back. Many of the users also heaped praise on the legend, Anderson, who is aging just fine like wine.
