The release of the highly anticipated Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush‘ is just around the corner. As the big day draws close, Kriti Sanon took to her handle on Monday to share an appreciation post for her ‘Janaki‘ and her ‘Jaan’.
The actress, who has been romantically linked to her hunky co-star and leading man Prabhas, teased her fans and followers by posting a photo of her character and added another special pic of her ‘Jaan’.While many assumed it would be a photo of her on-screen turned real-life ‘jaan’ Prabhas, it was another someone special – her mom.

Kriti shared a throwback black and white picture of her mother, Geeta Sanon. “Geeta Maa… My Jaan,” she captioned the post.
The post had fans double-tapping the image and leaving some flattering comments for the beauty. “Sita Maa ka naya roop,” a fan commented.

Another wrote, “Aapke alava koi Janki ka roll nahin kar sakta.”
Another said in agreement, “Ye role sirf aap hi kr sakte the…bohat sukoon and tej h apke face par.”
Ahead of the release of the film, Kriti said she was “extremely proud” of her film. She told PTI, “It is a film that the entire team is extremely proud of. I hope and pray that people will also equally be proud of it. It is something that is so important to all of us. It is just not a film for us, it is way more than that. I hope it gets its due. I have a feeling it will.”

Directed by Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana. While Prabhas will be playing the role of Raghav, Kriti will play Janaki and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist, Ravana.
Adipurush is considered as one of the biggest films made in the country with a reported budget of Rs 500 crore. The film will release on June 16, 2023.
