Konkona Sen Sharma’s inspiration for Lust Stories 2 was a real story of a friend walking in on her bai having sex! – Times of India
Speaking about her inspiration for the story, Konkona said in an interview that it was her friend who walked in on her bai having sex in her house.When Koko heard the story, she instantly knew this is something she wants to explore further.
In another interaction, Konkona shared her struggle in early part of her acting career to look a certain way and “to fit in.” Sharing her thoughts on the existing stereotypes around women and their need for sexual and romantic pleasure, Konkona said “Very often, the bodies that are allowed to feel the sexual/romantic pleasure are very limited because usually they have to be thin, fair, rich and young – that was the fourth factor. So usually only those kinds of bodies are allowed to desire and also there have been certain limitations in terms of how people from different economic backgrounds are portrayed.”
