Julius Randle was fouled hard by Jarrett Allen in the final minutes of the Knicks’ 107-90 loss to the Cavs on Tuesday, and he’s still feeling the effects two days later.
As Randle went up for a fastbreak dunk with a little over two minutes remaining in the contest, Allen contested the attempt from behind with the forward midair, sending his opponent tumbling to the floor.
The Cavs center was assessed a flagrant one foul on the play, which left Randle visibly grimacing, and it’s apparently lingered a bit ahead of Game 3.
‘It doesn’t even matter at this point,’ Randle told reporters Thursday.
”My a** hurts, my elbow hurts, but I gotta get ready to play for tomorrow. So it don’t matter at this point, I’m ready to go.’

Randle looked irritated after the play, and appeared to direct words at Allen as he walked back to the Knicks bench.
And he made his thoughts clear on the foul – which came with the Knicks trailing by 23 points – after the game.
‘Thought it was a little unnecessary,’ he told reporters afterwards.
‘Typically when you make those type of plays you go across their body, not through them. But it’s fine. It’s irrelevant. We’ll go back to the Garden, and see him there.’
While it’s curious why Randle was even on the court at the end of the blowout, it seems like he’s avoided any major injury or a reaggravation of the sprained ankle that cost him the last five games of the regular season.
The Knicks and Cavs are tied at one game apiece ahead of Friday’s Game 3 in New York.
Randle has averaged 20.5 points and nine rebounds through the first two games of the series.
