Kliff Kingsbury praises the ‘insane’ work ethic of Tom Brady as he prepares to face former teammate

Tom Brady’s ‘INSANE’ work ethic is praised by Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, who will face his former New England teammate on Christmas Day

Kliff Kingsbury has praised Tom Brady’s dogged work ethic ahead of his Cardinals’ matchup with the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Kingsbury, 43, is two years younger than the Bucs quarterback and was briefly his teammate in New England during the 2003 season.

And while Kingsbury was dominant at the college level with Texas Tech, seeing Brady up close was a wake up call for him.

Tom Brady is in his 23rd NFL season, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

‘The total commitment, lifestyle, sleep, eat, study, work that he’s put into that, it’s insane,’ Kingsbury said via ProFootballTalk.

‘When I got there, I thought I worked hard. Then I watched what he did and put into it and it was on a whole different level.

‘There’s a reason he’s the best there ever was.’

Kingsbury would soon fall out of the league after a brief stint with the Jets, while Brady has of course gone on to win a staggering seven Super Bowls while cementing himself as arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.

Brady, currently in his 23rd season, has followed an extremely strict diet in recent years to help prolong his career.

And while Brady has put together a stellar career, neither he nor Kingsbury are having a stellar 2022.

The Tampa quarterback is currently matching the lowest yards-per-attempt mark of his career, while Kingsbury’s Cardinals are just 4-10.

With the Buccaneers at 6-8 and leading a weak NFC South division, they’ll have more to play for on Sunday night.
