Khamzat Chimaev appears to have made peace with Team Khabib over dinner following his brainless cageside brawl with Abubakar Nurmagomedov at UFC 280.
After Islam Makhachev’s impressive victory against Charles Oliveira on Saturday, Chimaev sparked a chaotic bust-up with Khabib’s cousin during the post-fight speeches, prompting security to intervene as punches started to fly.
The bizarre altercation came after the pair appeared to share a friendly conversation and embrace following Makhachev’s triumph.

But it appears Chimaev has now resolved his issues with Team Khabib, as both parties were pictured and videoed breaking bread over dinner on Abubakar’s Instagram.
Khabib said: ‘What happened yesterday does not show us well. Neither me, nor Khamzat nor Abubakar.
‘To tell you the truth we are tired of this nonsense. Here we are gathered together as brothers. We have talked to each other and we apologised to each other.
‘I hope that in the future, we will only gather and fight for good reasons.’

The reason for the out-of-cage brawl remains unclear, although Abubakar posted a message online warning Chimaev about his behaviour ahead of UFC 280.
It read: ‘Not long ago in America, you sat at the same table as us, trained in the same gym, went to the mosque together and called us brothers. Now you write you will tear someone up. Yes I agree, everyone has a right to express their opinion but be careful with your statements.’
It remains to be seen how the authorities in Abu Dhabi and the UFC plan to punish Chimaev and Abubakar after the incident this weekend.
