Kevin Owens insists Jimmy or Jey Uso should be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns as WWE Champion
Kevin Owens insists either Jimmy or Jey Uso should dethrone Roman Reigns as Undisputed WWE Champion with Sami Zayn agreeing the former Bloodline members are the ‘most fitting’ to end the 1034-day reign

- Reigns has been the Undisputed WWE Universal champion for over a year
Roman Reigns has held the Universal title for 1,034 days and counting. He’s been the undisputed champion with both world titles for 454 days.
He is, by far, the most dominant world champion in recent WWE history and is, naturally, the biggest star the company have at their disposal right now.
But, with any long, formidable reign, thoughts tend to turn to whom could dethrone the champion. The issue with Reigns is, there is a lengthy list of challengers he has already put away.
Among those is his real-life cousin, Jey Uso. Defeating Jey was how Reigns’ run as the Tribal Chief really got started, but given The Usos have just departed Reigns’ Bloodline stable, many fans are wondering if it makes sense to bring the story full circle and have Jey, or Jimmy, bring their tyrannical cousin down.
Two people in favour of that idea are two of the Bloodline’s greatest rivals: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

If it can’t be either of the undisputed tag team champions, MailSport caught up with the Canadians ahead of Money in the Bank in London to ask: who should be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns?
‘Either Jey or Jimmy,” Owens insisted. ‘I think both of those guys deserve the world and both those guys would be fantastic universal world champions or whatever you want to call them – I forget what they say!
‘I think they’d be a shoe-in for that spot, they’d be great at it and, honestly, with the way everything has progressed and the heights they’ve reached, it certainly wouldn’t look out of place. So I think that would be a great idea, for sure.’
Zayn concurred with his tag team partner and stated his belief that where the story has progressed to, The Usos make the most logical sense.
“I think from a character and story perspective, it does make sense to see Jimmy or Jey do it at this point,’ Zayn affirmed.

‘I think a lot of characters have come along throughout the last three years who could have been a very fitting ending. I think I was one, Cody Rhodes was one, Drew McIntyre was maybe one – maybe not totally because of the broader story – but there’s been a couple of moments and people – even Kevin – points where it could put a bow on the story, the culmination of this whole thing.
‘But, it does seem at this point after everything else, that Jimmy or Jey would be the most fitting for the story,” Zayn finished.
Reigns won’t be defending his belts this weekend. Instead, another chapter in the crumbling of The Bloodline takes place at The O2 in London as he battles The Usos alongside their estranged younger brother, Solo Sikoa.
