He included PSG duo Neymar and Lionel Messi as well as Premier League rival N’Golo Kante, team-mate Bernardo Silva as well as Virgil van Djik.

De Druyne was complimentary of the Liverpool defender when Ferdinand asked if he’s the best defender in the world. He said: ‘I think he’s up there. He was unbelievable before his injury, obviously he had his ACL.
‘He came back to a real high level. It’s very difficult always to say ‘he’s better than this one…’ but he’s probably top three in the world alongside Ruben [Dias] and some other players. I think he deserves it.’
Instead of picking himself in midfield, De Bruyne opted for team-mate Silva in the middle of the park and likened him to a City legend.
He said: ‘In small spaces he’s unbelievable. He reminds me a bit of David (Silva).
De Bruyne also heaped praise on his team-mate Bernardo Silva and likened him to David Silva
‘He’s a wind-up, people hate that about him. He gives you a little bit of everything and with the team that I have he fits in perfectly. His quality this year has been unbelievable.’
The decision to put Kante in midfield seemed to be an easy one for De Bruyne as he said: “I need (N’Golo) Kante.’
PSG duo Neymar and Messi – who De Bruyne has come up against twice this season – make up the attack in his 5-a-side team.
