Kate Middleton Shines in Lemon Yellow on the Second Day of Jubilee Celebrations

The second day of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations began with a National Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen held at St Paul’s Cathedral. In attendance were prominent politicians, recipients of the Queen’s birthday honors, key workers, and members of the royal family including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Queen, sadly, could not be at the service which pays tribute to her 70 years on the throne. In a statement released by Buckingham Palace, it was confirmed that she experienced some discomfort during yesterday’s Trooping the Colour and had decided to skip proceedings.

While Meghan chose a white, belted coat for the occasion, Kate opted for a lemon-colored dress from Emilia Wickstead with a matching hat, suede shoes, and a pale clutch. It follows two equally showstopping looks from the pair yesterday. For her appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour, Middleton sported a classic white coat dress from Alexander McQueen with a Philip Treacy hat, while Markle wore an off-the-shoulder navy dress by Roland Mouret and a wide-brimmed Stephen Jones hat as she watched the parade from the Major General’s Office, which overlooks Whitehall.
