Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ releases on OTT, here’s what netizens have to say – Times of India

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ had released on February 17. The film didn’t meet expectations at the box office and had low numbers. It clocked in approximately Rs 38 crore at the domestic box office. But, ‘Shehzada’ released on Netflix on April 14 and a large section of the audience is really liking it.
‘Shehzada’ is the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ and hence people who had seen the original were apprehensive to watch it. However, after watching it on OTT, netizens feel Kartik has done justice to his part. One user wrote, “Even though the movie is a remake, Karthik Aryan has done full justice to his role ????????” Another user wrote, “Sometimes one should actually watch a movie without expecting anything !! Seriously no plot nothing but still it’s just a time pass !! @TheAaryanKartik @kritisanon Serious claps to all the actors in it!!”

Netizens also liked Kartik and Kriti’s chemistry in the film apart from every actor’s performance. A user also said, “Rewatched #Shehzada on #netflix – again i really enjoyed it. Just a fun family friendly masala entertainer that has an innate sweetness and charm to it. Also, Kartik Aryan’s performance is a hoot. Don’t get the hate for this movie one bit.”

However, ardent fans of the original have not liked the film. Some of them also criticised it. “After watching #Shehzada on Netflix last night, my respect for KRK’s Deshdrohi multiplied. I mean, what the fuck was this movie? In today’s era, how do you think such a film will work? Absolute garbage and one that people should avoid even if they have all the time in the world,” expressed a user.
