Kartik Aaryan kickstarts Chandu Champion shoot in London, reveals the ‘most challenging and exciting journey begins’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

As reporting exclusively by ETimes on July 11, Kartik Aaryan has indeed started shooting for his much awaited project Chandu Champion. Taking to his IG handle earlier, Kartik shared a pic from the sets, where director Kabir Khan is holding a clapperboard, as Kartik smiles at him. The actor wrote, “Shubh Aarambh. And the most challenging and exciting journey of my career begins…with the captain @kabirkhankk #ChanduChampion. #SajidNadiadwala @nadiadwalagrandson @wardakhannadiadwala.”

Earlier, producer Sajid Nadiadwala revealed to ETimes, “Our team is going to start shooting for Chandu Champion in London. Kabir has written a wonderful film.”Chandu Champion will feature Kartik in the role of an unknown sports hero who has an indomitable spirit. ETimes was able to speak to a few industry sources earlier and we found out that Kartik’s film has a connection with the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
A few years before his untimely demise, Sushant was to do another sports biopic after MS Dhoni. Back then the film was untitled and it was reported that the film was based on the story of a physically challenged army veteran turned sportsperson Murlikant Petkar. In 2016, SSR had admitted that he was drawn to Petkar’s story right away.
Kartik certainly has big shoes to fill and several more fans of SSR to impress. ETimes had also reported that Kartik is undergoing rigorous training for this role.
