Kartik Aaryan explains the role of intimacy co-ordinators, leaves Diljit Dosanjh in shock at a recent chat show – Times of India

With Indian cinema growing by leaps and bounds in the last couple of years, many niche jobs pertaining to the same have also come to the forefront – right from grooming experts to publicists, there is an expert for each job. Now, a new line of professionals, called intimacy co-ordinators have come to the fore, as recently discussed at a round table conference of actors.

Rajkummar Rao, Shefali Shah, Tripti Dimri, Vijay Varma, Kartik Aaryan, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Diljit Dosanjh and Tillotama Shome recently met at the Round Table with Rajeev Masand and discussed the various aspects of filmmaking. It started off with
Sir actor Tillotama Shome asking her colleagues what they feel about kissing scenes in Bollywood.

To this, Kartik Aaryan replied that he has no qualms in doing those. At this point,
Chhichhore actor Tahir Raj Bhasin intercepted and asked if he has ever worked with intimacy co-ordinators, to which the
Freddy actor replied that he has. He then went on to explain the role of the same, wherein they will tell you how to ace a kissing scene, how to hold back, when to stop, et al. Hearing this, Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh went into shock and asked, ‘
Aisa bhi hota hai?’, probably finding it difficult to accept that a job like this exists.

Apart from Punjabi movies, Diljit is a popular name in Bollywood too with movies like
Udta Punjab and
Good Newwz in his kitty.
