Karan Johar hints at announcing another directorial, shares some unseen BTS footage from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ – WATCH – Times of India

Karan Johar is returning as a director after seven years. His last film was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushki’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2016. The film-maker who is kown for many things – like being a judged on television shows and mainly for ‘Koffee With Karan’, has admitted several times that he loves ‘making movies’ the most.

His next directorial, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is set to release on April 28. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh along with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Karan shared a reel and wrote, “023 is going to be a year filled with what I love the most and with the utmost gratitude – what I love TO DO the most too…CINEMA! Lights, camera and here we go!!!????????”

He announced by the end of the reel that he’s going back to the director’s chair soon, so stay tuned. Karan had announced a while ago that he’s taken a lot of long breaks in direction but he will change that now. Hence he will begin shooting for his next directorial, a big action film in April 2023. Initially, ‘Rocky Aur Rani…’ was supposed to release in February 2023 but now it has been moved to April. Hence, this project might also be pushed further.

Meanwhile, Karan has left his fans curious for this upcoming announcement. Is it the same action film he announced a while ago or is it something else? We shall wait and watch.
