Kanye West ‘pulled from performing at Grammys’ amid online posts aimed at Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson

Kanye West has reportedly been pulled from performing at the Grammys this year.

The decision was made due to West‘s “concerning online behaviour”, according to The Blast, which first reported the story.

It said the rapper, now known as Ye, was told on Friday that he would no longer be performing at the Grammys show, which is set to take place on Sunday 3 April in Los Angeles (early hours of Monday 4 April UK time).

A representative for West confirmed the information in The Blast article to the Associated Press news agency and to US entertainment publication Variety, but did not comment.

It comes after the 44-year-old music star was temporarily blocked from Instagram for violating the platform’s bullying policies.

The social media photo-sharing site took action after West made a number of online attacks on Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson, 28, who is dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 41.

He also posted a a reported racial slur about Trevor Noah, Davidson’s comedy writing partner and host of The Daily Show – who is also due to host the Grammys.

On The Daily Show last week, Noah called West’s behaviour “more and more belligerent”.

He said: “What we’re seeing here is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.”

On Sunday, Noah tweeted:

Acts including Billie Eilish, BTS, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo are among the performers confirmed for the Grammys.

West, whose album Donda is up for album of the year, had not been announced as a performer ahead of the show.

Sky News has contacted the Recording Academy, which runs the Grammys, for comment.
