Kamya Panjabi seemingly mocks Sonakshi Sinha’s acting in Dahaad: ‘She is the daughter of a veteran but unko bilkul acting nahi aati’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Popular television actress Kamya Panjabi seems to have taken a dig at Sonakshi Sinha’s acting after watching her debut web series Dahaad. While talking about her conscious decision of staying away from the OTT space, Kamya said that her first love is television and she is very happy doing that.
Reacting to Eijaz Khan‘s comment about facing bias at the hands of casting directors and how it becomes difficult for TV actors to break into the web space, Kamya told a news portal that she is not the one who will sacrifice her TV career to venture into OTT.
She then went on to point out how several OTT actors are not even good at what they do. Without taking names, Kamya cited an example of a recent web series she watched. She said that the daughter of a very big actor made her debut with it. When she started watching that show, she could not bear to watch beyond the first episode because the daughter of a veteran actor couldn’t even act properly.

Kamya then questioned the makers and the casting directors about the selection process and asked why are they casting actors who don’t know how to act and perform well. She said that it is a sad state of affairs and asserted that this mindset needs to change that only big names would work on the web.
She concluded with a question that the makers are casting big names, star kids and established actors only because they want their projects to sell and be watched but where is the talent.
