Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Pune, passed away today. While the entire film fraternity have been paying their tribute to the veteran actor, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has also paid his tribute to the talented actor, who breathed his last in Pune on November 26.

Vikram Gokhale has appeared in two Tamil films, Hey Ram (2000) and Aalavandhan (2001), in his long career and incidentally, both the films had Kamal Haasan as the lead actor. Paying his tribute to the veteran actor, Kamal Haasan posted in Tamil, which translates to, “Vikram Gokhale started his acting career on stage and established himself on screen. I have admired his talent in ‘Aalavandhan’ and ‘Hey Ram’. He loved acting so much that his film was released earlier this month after he was admitted to the hospital due to physical weakness. My tribute to him.

The health of veteran actor slightly deteriorated and he continued to be on ventilator support, before he breathed his last due to multiple-organ failure. He is survived by wife Vrushali Gokhle and two daughters. The veteran actor was in a critical condition and was hospitalised for over 15 days.
