Kajol celebrates 3 Years of Helicopter Eela with an endearing video montage – Times of India

Sharing a happy video montage consisting of stills and moments from the film, she wrote, “Look what I found in my Yaado ki almari.✨ #3YearsOfHelicopterEela”. In the film, Kajol essayed the role of ‘Eela Raiturkar’ — an aspiring singer who gives up on her career after her husband abandons her and their son, Vivaan. The film received widespread acclaim from fans and crtics alike due to it’s refreshing storyline.

Helmed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film also had a cameo by Amitabh Bachchan playing himself for a role as he was considered to be perfect for that particular scene. In a report, Kajol also stated that it was only him who could have done this role perfectly and fortunately, he immediately gave a green signal for the role very sweetly.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was last seen in filmmaker Om Raut’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ where she shared screen space with her actor-husband Ajay Devgn. The film also starred Saif Ali Khan, Neha Sharma and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. She also made her OTT debut space with ‘Tribhanga’ alongside Mithila Palkar and Tanvi Azmi and a short film ‘Devi’.
