‘Kaala Jaadu’ song from ‘Freddy’: Kartik Aaryan brings a new signature step to town after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ – Watch – Times of India

After the huge success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, Kartik Aaryan stepping on to the OTT platform again with ‘Freddy’. His 2021, OTT film ‘Dhamaka’ had receieved some rave reviews and the teaser of ‘Freddy’ has also grabbed eye balls. Kartik plays a dentist in the film and he looks menacing in the last scene from the teaser.

Now the makers have unveiled the first song from the film which is called ‘Kaala Jaadu’. With this, a new signature step has been introduced and it’s called the ‘chopper step’. Kartik looks super cool in the song and has pulled off the steps with perfection. What’s unique about this number is that it’s a soft track crooned by Arijit Singh and yet, it has groove-worthy beats and rhythm to it. The song has been composed by Pritam while the lyrics which are impressive are penned by Irshaad Kamil. It also has been shot quite interestingly. The song has been choreographed by Shazia Samji and Piyush Bhagat. Take a look!

Kartik has put on 14 kilos of weight for the film and he had to really work hard for it. He also admitted that this is one of his most unique roles. Talking about it, Kartik had said, “‘Freddy has been one of the most interesting and surprising scripts that I have ever read. When I saw that I would also be required to gain weight for the role among other preparations, I just wasn’t able to worry in that moment, because I was so excited to play this character. And it was quite difficult, trying to put on so much weight altogether. But, under Samir Jaura’s training, we achieved the goal in time and gladly, the entire team loved the final look.”

‘Freddy’ will release on December 2.
