Spilling some beans on the same, Smriti revealed that Satish had seen one of her commercial ads recently and had messaged her to compliment her. According to her, he was one of the people who celebrated other’s success and boosted their enthusiasm. The actress added that her last text to him was that she will always make him proud.

Further Smriti talked about being directed by the ace director in ‘Kaagaz 2’. The actress said that Kaushik had a childlike enthusiasm and was passionate about work, even at this age…even after spending so many years in the industry. She also added that the passion he had for work, really rubs on you. The way he used to say ‘action’ before every take, would fill up everyone with the same excitement to work throughout the day. His energy was infectious, Smriti told Hindustan Times.

The actress added that she is very fortunate that he directed her in ‘Kaagaz 2’. According to her, he was a complete school in himself. She also revealed that the late actor-director had many plans related to the release of his ambitious film, ‘Kaagaz 2’.

Talking about the kind of impact Kaushik left on her, Smriti said that she is still in a state of shock and that talking about him in the past tense is difficult.
