Juventus 1-0 Hellas Verona: Moise Keane returns from suspension to score as Juve hold out to keep hopes of European qualification alive

  • Juventus held out to record a 1-0 win against Verona at the Allianz Stadium
  • Moise Kean collected Manuel Locatelli’s pass to score the only goal of the game
  • The Result keeps Juventus within three points of Roma in sixth place in Serie A

Moise Kean’s strike helped Juventus claim a much needed 1-0 win against Hellas Verona.

It was a hard fought win for the Bianconeri, who held out to an advancing Verona side in the second half to keep their hopes of qualifying for a European football alive.

After a cagey first half, Keane broke the deadlock on his return from a red card suspension, collecting a fantastic pass from Manuel Locatelli with a stunning touch before striking a low effort past Lorenzo Montipo in the Verona goal.

It was his fifth goal in Serie A this season, helping Juventus win their fifth straight win in all competitions, but it was a cagey end to the match as Juventus managed to stave off some late attacks from Verona who knocked on the door but just couldn’t break the home side down.

Verona will drop to 18th in the Serie A standings, while Max Allegri’s side cut the gap between them and Roma in sixth place to just three points, with the Turn side set to square off in a huge Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter Milan next week.
