The Chicago Bears have a new regime in charge, with Ryan Poles being named general manager and Matt Eberflus taking over as head coach. While there have been changes across the roster, the top quarterback position is held by Justin Fields, the team’s 2021 first-round pick. He showcased his talent at Ohio State, and now, the world waits to see if he can have a better season than his rookie year.
Facing off against the Seattle Seahawks in preseason action, Fields played a total of 10 plays in the first half. However, there was concern for Fields due to the pressure he faced from the Seahawks defense as a result of the performance of the Bears offensive line.

Those who watched the national broadcast shared their thoughts about the Bears’ offensive line on Twitter.
While yes this is the preseason, Bears fans are looking at the players across the roster to see how they perform and if they will make the 53-man roster. Every NFL fanbase is doing the same this summer.
In Fields’ limited playing time at Lumen Field, he completed 5-of-7 passes for a total of 39 passing yards, while running for a total of one yard on one attempt.
The Bears traded a bevy of draft capital to the New York Giants to move up into the first round of the 2021 draft to select Fields with the No. 11 pick. One of the picks that moved was Chicago’s first-round pick, which the Giants used on Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal at the No. 7 slot.
Fields sat behind veteran Andy Dalton initially in the 2021 campaign but eventually earned the starting job. In 12 games (10 starts, Fields threw for 1,870 yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on a 58.9 completion percentage. He was sacked 36 times for a total of 264 yards.
The Bears fanbase will be watching games this season, hoping that the offensive line improves,, or holds up enough for Fields to make a positive play on offense.
