Julia Toledano Wore Dior to Her Civil Ceremony in Paris—And to Her Bigger Celebration in Turkey

She wore her favorite pair of shoes from the Nodaleto wedding collection—the Bulla Roman, which she specifically designed to wear on her special day and named after her husband. “They are the perfect wedding mules,” Julia says. “In white, radiant with pearl details and lace on the sides.”

Julia designed the Bulla Sally—an open-toe sandal in two very unique colors: silver Nappa and metallic gold—specifically for her bridesmaids. “I wanted to design an elegant silhouette that would still deliver playfulness and comfortability,” Julia says. “I decided to include the Bulla Sally in our upcoming spring 2023 collection in many additional colors, as it holds so much meaning for me, but also because of the versatility of the design.”

The wedding ceremony turned out to be even better than how Julia and Roman pictured it. “My dad walked me down the aisle,” the bride says. “We didn’t have to say a word to each other. We were holding hands, and we already knew that everything was going to be perfect.” For her entrance, Julia chose her favorite song: “You” by Petit Biscuit. “It was quite a long walk before reaching my husband, and these minutes felt so special because I remember making eye contact with him throughout it all,” she says. “And feeling comforted just from that.”

Guests were dressed in pastel colors, and after the ceremony, there was a traditional cocktail reception followed by dinner and a party on the beach. Then, for the disco party that followed, Julia wore a silver tube dress embellished with butterflies and flowers from Monique Lhuillier. “I added long hair extensions to give the look a touch of a ’70s mermaid aesthetic,” she says. “I wanted to feel super tall so I chose to wear the Nodaleto Joni, a maxi style platform in metallic silver leather.”

That same night, the bride had one final outfit change. “One of my best friends found this 1920s crochet dress in a vintage store in London,” Julia says. “She FaceTimed me in January and we knew it was made for the occasion!” The bride also switched shoes, putting on her favorite pair of summer sandals, Bulla Gaia, which have infinite laces in a dark gold crackle.

“The party didn’t end until 8 a.m. the next morning,” Julia remembers. “We were all dancing our hearts out!”
