Jr NTR rules out any political angle behind ‘RRR’ not being chosen India’s official Oscar entry – Times of India

The RRR team is now leaving no stone unturned for an Oscar nomination and are campaigning for the magnum opus in Hollywood. Incidentally, Pan Nalin’s ‘Last Film Show’ has already been sent as India’s official Oscar entry for the Best International Film category.
During a recent interview, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, the two lead actors of ‘RRR’, were asked about their thoughts on the superhit film missing out on India’s official entry at the Oscars. What Jr. NTR said in response will surely win every fan’s heart. He promptly answered that ‘RRR’ has already made them proud even if it wasn’t selected as India’s entry for Oscars.

The popular actor also insisted that he doesn’t think there is any politics going on with which films would go to Oscars. He feels the selection panel knows what they do the best. According to Jr NTR, Hindi has primarily been a national language for years and that’s why it has taken prominence. Interestingly, Ram Charan jokingly responded Jr. NTR is being really humble but he wants these two awards and he just doesn’t want to jinx it.
At the Golden Globes Awards, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ fail short of winning the Best Non-English Language Film award as the critically-acclaimed Argentine film ‘1985 from Argentina’ bagged the honour.

‘RRR’, the global blockbuster which released in India on March 24, 2022 also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn alongside British actors Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris in key roles. Such is the global response to the film that ‘RRR’ is going places winning hearts.
