Brian To’o stole the show by proposing to his partner after Penrith’s grand final win and Nathan Cleary’s reaction was priceless.
Premiership-winning Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary has shared a glimpse into his love life with a priceless reaction to Brian To’o’s grand final proposal.
After Penrith defeated the Rabbitohs to claim the third premiership in the club’s history on Sunday evening, Panthers winger To’o popped the question and became engaged to his partner Moesha.

NRL fans were floored by the fairy tale moment, but co-captain Cleary had perhaps the most priceless reaction of all.
“Us other boys were looking around thinking … especially when I get a girlfriend, I’ve got a lot to live up to, if she’s comparing with that,” he said with a laugh in the Panthers’ post-match press conference.
Cleary said the popular winger’s teammates were just as surprised as everyone else he chose grand final night to propose.
“I had no idea (he planned to propose) but he’s always calling her his fiancee, so it was coming soon enough,” Cleary said.
“What a time to do it.”
The proposal capped off a remarkable year for To’o. The Penrith pocket-rocket led the competition in runs, metres gained and post-contact metres this season, made his State of Origin debut, was picked as one of two Dally M Wingers of the Year and played in the grand final-winning team.
He also cemented his status as one of the league’s most dependable finishers.
To’o didn’t cross the chalk for a four-pointer on Sunday evening but in the end he didn’t need to. In one of the most gripping deciders in recent memory, the Panthers edged out a resilient Rabbitohs outfit to win by two points at Suncorp Stadium.
To’o’s opposite winger, Stephen Crichton, broke the 8-all deadlock midway through the second-half when he picked off a Cody Walker speculator and bolted to the line for a try.
Just as Panthers fans were beginning to smell victory, the Rabbitohs struck back through prolific tryscorer Alex Johnston.
But after departing Bunnies halfback Adam Reynolds missed both the ensuing conversion and a two-point field goal attempt, the Mountain Men held on to record the kind of gutsy win that typified their finals campaign.
