Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez calling him an ‘abuser’ in closing argument against Amber Heard goes viral – Times of India

Several Amber fans have shared the video stating that Depp’s lawyer was supporting Heard in her argument. On the other hand, Vasquez quickly made up for her slip and said, “there is an abuser in this courtroom, but not Mr Depp. And there is a victim of domestic abuse in this courtroom, but it is not Ms Heard.”

Meanwhile, Depp recently launched a countermove after his ex-wife Amber Heard gave formal notice of intent to appeal the verdict in the ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ actor’s defamation trial against her.

Reportedly, Depp has appealed the USD 2m defamation award a jury in Virginia handed to his ex-wife Amber Heard at their trial last month.

Heard’s lawyers had announced they would appeal immediately after the jury found on June 1 that she had defamed Depp by publishing an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”
