Jimmy Sheirgill on being uncomfortable with adding nudity or vulgar language in films and OTT – Times of India ►

Over time Bollywood actor Jimmy Sheirgill has been quite selective about choosing scripts and projects. However, there’s one rule which he always stands by – be it OTT or films, the projects must have a universal appeal, along with having a family-friendly audience.

Jimmy shares that he tries to choose and pick things that have a strong connection. Elaborating further to Hindustan Times, the actor says if he gets an over-the-top series tomorrow, which is a little mad in terms of comedy, he’d still explore the genre as long as it’s universal and maximum people can watch and relate to it.

When asked how he looks at the nudity and abusive language used in OTT shows to grab eyeballs, the 51-year-old actor says, he’s not comfortable with such scenes, until and unless there is some sense to what is going on – only if his character demands for the same. “But to just add fizzle to it to capture that kind of audience,
voh maamla na filmon mein samajh aaya hai na yahaan (OTT) pe samajh aaya hai.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Jimmy was last seen for an OTT thriller film “Collar Bomb”, where he essayed the role of a cop. The film also has Asha Negi and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles. He has also been part of a legal drama titled ‘Your Honour’ alongside Parul Gulati and Pulkit Makol.
