Jimin pens note to ‘worried’ BTS ARMY after surgery and COVID positive diagnosis; says ‘I will return quickly after recovery’ – Times of India
The 26-year-old superstar took to his Weverse handle to share a message to all fans concerned about him and his recovery. “Everyone, you must have worried a lot right? I am recovering well!” he wrote in the translated post.
Apologising to fans for causing so much worry, he assured all that he will be discharged soon. He wrote, “I’m sorry to have worried you. But, I think I can be discharged soon! I am recovering well too and I am eating all three meals a day. Please wait for just a little, I will return quickly after recovery!”
Jimin underwent surgery on Monday, January 31, and his agency issued a statement confirming he had a successful appendicitis surgery. It was also reported that the star tested positive for COVID-19.
Jimin, whose full name is Park Ji-min, went to the hospital on Sunday after suffering from sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat, Big Hit Music said in a statement.
He tested positive for the coronavirus, and underwent surgery for appendicitis on Monday, the statement added.
“The surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure,” Big Hit Music said, adding that he was making a “speedy recovery” from his COVID-19 infection.
The singer was due to receive several days of in-patient treatment for COVID-19 along with postoperative care, the statement said.
Jimin, 26, is at least the fourth member of the seven-member group to test positive for the coronavirus.
Rapper RM, vocalist Jin, and rapper Suga tested positive in December, shortly after the group had returned from a series of live shows in the United States.
