Jessica Pegula made light work of Barbora Krejcikova to seal a straight-sets win and book her spot in the quarter-final of the Australian Open on Sunday morning.
The No 3 seed, who is the daughter of the Buffalo Bills owners, is now the highest-ranked player left in the women’s singles as she searches for a first ever Grand Slam title.
Pegula won the match 7-5, 6-2 to set up a match with either Victoria Azarenka or Shuai Zhang in the last eight.
