JEE Advanced 2022 Results announced: RK Shishir bags top rank
Tanishka Kabra from the Delhi zone is the topper among female candidates with 277 marks. Her all-India rank is 16.
Alongside the JEE Advanced 2022 exam, Shishir, who is from Karnataka, was also preparing for the KCET 2022 exam. For the KCET 2022 exam, Shishir secured Rank 1 in Pharmacy and Rank 4 in the Engineering exam, Times Now reported.
Shishir R K, who is a student of Narayana eTechno School, lives in Sahakar Nagar. His father works in the Times of India and his mother is a homemaker.
The results were announced by IIT Bombay, which conducted the exam, .
JEE-Main, which is the admission test for engineering colleges across the country, is the qualifying exam for JEE-Advanced. Over 1.5 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam this year and over 40,000 have qualified.
“The aggregate marks are calculated as a sum of the marks obtained in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Candidates have to satisfy the subject-wise as well as aggregate qualifying marks to be included in the rank list,” PTI quoted a senior IIT Bombay official as saying.

Candidates appeared for the IIT JEE exam on August 28, 2022. The candidates who have cleared the JEE Advanced exam will now appear for the Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA 2022). The JoSAA counselling is set to commence on September 12. Students who have qualified through the entrance exam will get admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) through the JoSAA counselling.
