Jay-Z lands Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. as his newest RocNation recruit… as music legend opens up a Brazilian base to expand his business
Vinicius Jr. has become the latest soccer star to join Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports after the company acquired the Brazilian TFM Agency.
Aside from Vinicius, TFM represents over 100 players including Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.
And the pair now join a star-studded roster at Roc Nation including fellow footballers Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne, as well as Saquon Barkley and LaMelo Ball across other sports.
With the acquisition of TFM, Jay Z’s sports agency – founded in 2013 – has officially launched a Brazilian division.
‘In terms of football, Brazil is the center of it all,’ Roc Nation Sports founder and president Juan Perez said in a statement on the company’s website.

Vinicius Jr. and Jay-Z posed for a photo in May, with the forward calling the rapper a ‘LEGEND’
Vinicius Jr. had another strong season for Real Madrid as he scored 20 goals in all competitions
‘I strongly identify with a culture that has such an incredible passion for sport and music. Our influence in this game is growing and this move shows our intentions to the world.’
Vinicius’ arrival at Roc Nation comes not long after he met with Jay-Z in May, as the pair posed for a photo which the Brazilian forward shared to his 39.6million Instagram followers.
‘LEGEND,’ the 22-year-old wrote, alongside a handshake emoji and goat emoji.
Along with his staggering 24 Grammy wins, Jay-Z has carved out a career in sports over the last two decades.
Roc Nation had already represented Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku in its soccer division
The rapper owned a minority share of the Nets from 2004-13, when he sold his share in the franchise and started Roc Nation Sports.
However, Jay-Z, whose birth name is Shawn Carter, played a significant role in the team’s move from New Jersey to Brooklyn before he left.
He was also linked last year to Jeff Bezos’ bid to buy the Commanders, which were ultimately sold to Sixers owner Josh Harris.
Vinicius had another strong season for Madrid, scoring 20 goals in all competitions.
