Janhvi Kapoor marked her entry in films with 2018 release ‘Dhadak’. The actress stunned in this film, which was a remake of blockbuster Marathi movie ‘Sairat’. Speaking about the pre-release pressure, Janhvi recently revealed that she felt overconfident about her debut film’s success.

The actress earned positive reviews for her debut performance opposite Ishaan Khatter and ‘Dadak’ earned Rs 72 crore at the box office. Speaking about the film’s success, Janhvi told Pinkvilla that she as unaware about the Friday release pressure during ‘Dhadak’ and that she was overconfident that people will definitely come to watch her first film. Janhvi is currently basking in the success of her latest OTT release ‘Good Luck Jerry’ and the actress added that with direct to digital release there is no pressure of box office numbers.

Janhvi Kapoor recently returned to Mumbai after wrapping ‘Bawaal’ with Varun Dhawan in Warsaw. Penning a note after the film’s wrap, the actress thanked director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for giving her the opportunity. Janhvi wrote, “From stalking Nitesh sir and Sajid sir to make sure i get this film, to praying obsessively that it happens, to pinching myself everyday that I’m actually shooting for it, to having finally wrapped it. I still can’t believe that I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this wholesome, heartfelt world that Nitesh sir has created. I’ve learnt so much from you sir, so much about films and making movies with love but more about the value in being a person that leads their life with such dignity and honest values.”
