Tommy Fury has vowed to teach Jake Paul ‘a serious life lesson’ after the Love Island star finally agreed to meet the YouTube novice on December 18 in Tampa, Florida.

Paul, 24, will step up to face an opponent with a boxing background for the first time, having only taken on rivals with mixed martial arts experience.

Fury, 22, younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson, is looking to carve his own journey to a world title.

The boxing novices will finally settle their rivalry in an eight-round contest in December

Fury has issued a strong warning to his American rival as the two stars gear up for their huge showdown before the end of the year.

‘Jake Paul is about to learn a serious life lesson,’ he said. ‘This is my world and he doesn’t belong here. I’m not one of these MMA men or basketball players.

‘I have been boxing my whole life. I will show the world the difference between a YouTuber and a real fighting man.’

Meanwhile, Paul taunted his rival after revealing he has been training for ‘seven weeks’ already as Fury begins camp for the fight.

‘Yo baby, we’re signed. December 18,’ he said. ‘I have been in camp for seven weeks already, waiting for this loser to sign. He has just got to camp in Vegas! It is over. See you all soon.’

The Love Island star has fought just seven times professionally and fought on the undercard of Paul’s fight with Tyron Woodley in August.

Fury has rubbished Paul’s credentials and has long insisted the YouTube novice will pose no threat in the ring, but this is by far the biggest stage the 22-year-old has performed on in his young career.

His father, John, expects an easy night’s work and along with brother Tyson has said that Tommy will no longer be a Fury if he loses to the American.

Paul has upped the stakes with his British rival, too, pledging to pay him a further $500,000 on his reported $1million payday if he wins, but if he loses he must change his name to Timmy Fumbles.

Taking to Instagram, Paul wrote: ‘It’s finally official. Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly!

‘December 18th in Tampa Bay Im changing this w***ers name to Timmy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady. Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye’.
