Jacqueline Fernandez gets trolled for her views on cosmetic surgery at the 2006 ‘Miss Universe Sri Lanka’ pageant – Watch video – Times of India

Jacqueline Fernandez has been in news lately for her connection in the 200 crore money laundering case related to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress got bail in the case on November 15, post which, she made her first public appearance during the trailer launch of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ recently.

But a new video has gone viral now and the actress is being brutally trolled for her comment on cosmetic surgery. The video is from 2006 from the question round of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant where the actress was asked to share her views on cosmetic surgery. She answered, “It goes against the whole concept of beauty pageants, and that is to celebrate the natural beauty of women. And plus, if it comes to cosmetic surgery being encouraged, it will become a matter of who can afford it, opposed to who can’t afford the cosmetic surgery. And that is not what beauty pageants are about.”

Jacqueline is being trolled for calling it an ‘unfair advantage’ and many users also commented and asked, “how many surgeries has she done so far?” Another user wrote, “Then she ended up with a whole new face’. One user also felt that there’s such a change of opinion when one joins movies.

Interestingly, Jacqueline had won the title of ‘Miss Sri Lanka universe’ after her answer. On the work front, Jacqueline was last seen in ‘Ram Setu’ with Akshay Kumar. Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ which stars her alongside Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma among others, is set to release on December 23.
