Jacqueline Fernandez asked to appear before the ED on October 18 – Times of India

The Enforcement Directorate has issued fresh summons to Jacqueline Fernandez in Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. The actress was supposed to appear before the investigating agency today but skipped the same due to personal unavoidable reasons. Jacqueline has now been asked to appear before ED’s Delhi office on Monday, 18th October. She is being summoned to record her statement in connection to a money laundering case being probed against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekar and his partner Leena Paul.

Previously, Jacqueline was examined as a witness in the case and had appeared before the ED on August 30. While she skipped the ED questioning for a third time, Jacqueline informed fans through social media that she is shooting for a movie. Posing with co-star Akshay Kumar, the actress revealed that she is shooting for ‘Ram Setu’ in Ooty. “Feels great to be back on sets with team Ram Setu,” the actress had shared.

Earlier this week, Nora Fatehi was also summoned by the investigating agency. Her team later issued a statement saying she has been called by the ED as a witness in the case. “Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case, and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by ED to strictly help with the investigation,” Nora’s team had shared.
