Despite Tom Brady’s repeated insistence that this past NFL season was his last, a number of people who used to play with the quarterback believe he’s going to come back.
Brady announced his retirement back in February after spending his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
Speaking on ‘The Richard Sherman Podcast’, Brady’s former Bucs teammate Antoine Winfield Jr. believes that the team is trying to coax him out of retirement.
‘I’m sure we’re still reaching out to him trying to see if he’s trying to come back to the team,’ Winfield said. ‘Hey, it could happen. Anything’s possible.’
When Sherman said that he wouldn’t put anything past Brady, Winfield responded, ‘It’s up in the air, man.’

Antoine Winfield Jr. believes Brady is being actively recruited by the Buccaneers’ front office
Brady, who seems to be enjoying his retirement, has given no indication he wants to return
Brady’s previous retirement, then un-retirement, could be the cause for the hesitancy surrounding his future.
It’s not unprecedented for an NFL quarterback to yo-yo in and out of retirement, with Hall-of-Famer Brett Favre having done so in the past.
If Brady is going to return to any team, Tampa Bay would be the most likely destination.
Not only is he used to the Buccaneers’ system, but he’d probably walk right back into the starting lineup as Tampa Bay is set for a quarterback battle between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask.
Brady would technically be free to sign with anybody, as he is currently a free agent.
