Is Tua Tagovailoa playing on Thursday night? Fantasy injury update for Ravens-Dolphins Week 10 Thursday Night Football

Tua Tagovailoa (finger) is no stranger to the injury report this season, and ahead of the Ravens-Dolphins Week 10 Thursday Night Football game, Tagovailoa is slated to be a game-time decision. The Dolphins’ signal-caller has already missed several games this season, so whether he’s playing is in real doubt. Tagovailoa isn’t an optimal play in single-QB leagues, but his status will certainly affect start ’em, sit ’em decisions in two-QB/superflex leagues, as well as lineup decisions on other players in the game. That’s why knowing the latest injury updates will be important.

We’ll continue to update this article with news on Tagovailoa up until the official active/inactive report comes out on Thursday around 6:50 p.m. ET. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Is Tua Tagovailoa playing on Thursday night?

UPDATE: Dolphins’ beat writer Cameron Wolfe reported Wednesday that the Dolphins are “preparing” for Jacoby Brissett to start but are still hoping Tagovailoa will be healthy enough by Thursday night.

After Tagovailoa missed Miami’s Week 9 contest because of a finger injury, Dolphins coach Brian Flores has already said Tagovailoa will be a game-time decision on Thursday night.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

There might not be a ton of people looking to play Tua in single-QB leagues, but there could be some in deep leagues, especially if their normal starter is hurt or on bye. However, given that at least 20 quarterbacks are started in superflex/two-QB leagues, many will have no choice in those formats but to play him if he’s healthy.

WEEK 10 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Baltimore has given up 340-plus passing yards to Carson Wentz, Derek Carr, Joe Burrow, and Patrick Mahomes, so they aren’t the classic Ravens’ defense we all have known over the past decade. The Ravens currently give up the 13th-most fantasy points per game to QBs.

Tua has attempted at least 39 passes in each of his past three starts, so there is a path to fantasy success here, even if it’s mostly volume-driven. That said, the Dolphins’ offense is depleted at wideout, as Will Fuller (finger) and DeVante Parker (hamstring) are on IR. Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki have been impressive at times, but we’re looking at Mack Hollins and Preston Williams (if active) after that.

Ultimately, that’s a long-winded way to say Tua’s a risky play this week, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him have a nice fantasy day if Miami is as pass-happy as we expect. We have Tua ranked as the QB21 for Week 10 due to the uncertainty. If Jacoby Brissett gets the start, he has low-end superflex/two-QB starting appeal with some rushing upside.
