Is Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada producer Allu Aravind in Mumbai trying to stop his own film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’s Hindi dubbed version from releasing? – Exclusive! – Times of India

Allu Aravind (Allu Arjun’s father) who is a producer of both the films – ‘Shehzaada’ and’ ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’- has reached Mumbai to try and stop the release of the Hindi dubbed version of the latter. Why? A source says, “The Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Shehzada’ (with Kriti Sanon opposite him) is the official Hindi remake of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, which Allu Aravind is co-producing with Bhushan Kumar and Aman Gill. Allu Aravind would ideally like ‘Shehzada’ to be the only Hindi version of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’.”

However, Manish Girish Shah who has the rights for the Hindi dubbed version of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, when contacted, told ETimes, “Yes, I am releasing the dubbed Hindi version of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ on January 26,” and hung up. We immediately texted him to tell us about his latest meeting with Allu Aravind in Mumbai regarding ‘Shehzada’, but Shah chose to not respond.

Incidentally, Shah also has the satellite rights of ‘Shehzada’. And interestingly, both were sold to him by Allu Aravind only!

Change of mind, you see! Of course, Shah might demand a certain sum if he’s eventually going to withhold the dubbed Hindi version.

Not too long ago, Shah had said, “We have about four big release dates in a year and January 26 is one of the biggest days. There is no Hindi film releasing on that day and that is the reason I am releasing the dubbed version of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’.” Let’s wait and watch if Shah sticks to his word. Or in other words, if Allu Aravind fails to make him see his ‘Shehzada’ perspective.

Adds the source, “Allu Aravind had arrived in Mumbai yesterday with his team and the meetings with Shah went on for two days. At the time of going online. We shall soon know, January 26 is not far away.”
