Shilpa Shetty’s businessman husband Raj Kundra is back in the news and for reasons that will leave you amused. According to reports, a film on his time spent in prison is in the works. While an official announcement about the same is awaited, reports are also rife that Raj Kundra will be seen playing himself in the movie.
A report in Pinkvilla stated that the film will present an account of all that Raj Kundra experienced through his tenure in one of India’s most overcrowded jails – the Arthur Road Jail. The director’s name has been kept under wraps for now, but Raj Kundra is going to be “creatively involved” in several parts of the film, including production and script. The film is reportedly expected to go on floors soon and will detail Raj’s entire ordeal.
The businessman got involved in a murky case in 2021 when he was arrested on charges of distributing pornographic-related content via the app created by his company, called Hotshots.
Raj Kundra was detained on July 19, 2021, by the Mumbai Police for allegedly creating and disseminating pornographic material using the Hotshots app. In 2021, Shilpa Shetty defended her husband, saying that she would not comment as the matter was subjudice and that she had full faith in the Mumbai police and the judiciary.
The couple has two children, son Viaan and daughter Samisha.
