In IPL Cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capitals by 16 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last night.
Put into bat first, Bangalore posted 189 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs riding on Dinesh Karthik’s not out 66 and Glenn Maxwell’s 55 runs. For Delhi, Shardul Thakur, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel took one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Delhi were restricted at 173 for seven in 20 overs. David Warner and Rishabh Pant scored 66 and 34 runs, respectively for Delhi.
For Bangalore, Josh Hazlewood picked up three while Mohammed Siraj scapled two wickets.
In an earlier match, Lucknow Super Giants defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai yesterday evening. Put into bat first, Lucknow posted 199 for four in 20 overs with the help of KL Rahul’s unbeaten 103. In reply, Mumbai were all out for 181 for 9 in the stipulated overs.
Today, Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Punjab Kings at 3:30 pm at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, while Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune at 7:30 pm.
